Keanau Reeves On His Motorcycle
Keanu Reeves has a rock band called Dogstar. (He taught himself to play bass guitar.) The other two band members are from his old neighborhood, and he flies them in to rehearse when he's filming on location. The name Keanu is Hawaiian for "cool breeze over the mountains." His father is Hawaiian-Chinese. His English mom used to be a costume designer for rock legends like Alice Cooper. After his parents divorced, he lived in New York and then moved to Toronto, Canada. He was goalie on his high school hockey team, where he was nicknamed "The Wall" and voted MVP. He used to recite Shakespeare when tending goal. Keanu digs ice skating, riding horses and surfing.
